Soul Search brings together storytelling and spirituality in an immersive listening experience.

The most sacred of journeys is discovering our deepest self. It's a complex, emotional and beautiful path. And it's a very personal experience. Yet other people's journeys can tell us about our own. We blend of storytelling and meditative soundscapes so that you feel something. These are stories without judgment. We let them breathe, leaving the mystery intact, so that they speak for themselves.

I’m Seth, your host.

There was a time in my life when I thought having a career was everything. Not simply a way to have a desirable lifestyle, but the very way I define myself. I thought I wanted money. I thought I wanted success. But what I was really searching for was more. I wanted to know that I mattered to the universe, even in some small way. And that I was worthy of love.

Achieving everything I thought I wanted did not bring a sense of fulfillment to life. It only brought more angst because I was out of touch with who I was at my core. Only being stripped down and made lean, first by going through an addiction and then through a spiritual awakening, could I come to see that the image I had of myself covered up deep insecurities I carried with me.

After I left Wall Street, I had a conversion experience which led me back to Christianity, but I still had many questions which caused me to leave it decades before. It seemed what I learned about the faith, and was still being led to believe, did not connect with the experience of being freed from addiction.

But once I found what is known as the contemplative path, the path of self- and God-awareness, I began to experience even deeper self-acceptance, humility, freedom and love. Through all this, I’ve found is that “who I am” is not equivalent to “what I do.”

This journey inspired me to create Soul Search as a space for others to tell their story too. You can read a bit more about mine here.
